Robert Rupeka, Chief Financial Officer

In his present position Rob is responsible for managing the finance and business development activities at EDM including analysis of new opportunities and direct coordination of development projects.  He also oversees the property management division of the company.  Rob was a pre-professional scholar in management and received a BA in Political Science while attending Case Western Reserve University, and earned an MBA from Youngstown State University.  Prior to joining EDM in 2006 he was the director of a local micro-enterprise and small business development program.  He gained 12 years of experience in local government, the last six years serving as the Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Administrator.  Rob also brings extensive strategic planning experience from working with media and marketing companies while operating a local government and political consulting business.

Edward Reese Jr., Director of Business Development

In January 2016, Edward Reese Jr. joined EDM as Director of Business Development after working part-time with the company while completing his master’s program at Case Western Reserve University. Though his education is in business and finance, his work at Briarfield locations while he was in high school gave him hands-on experience and knowledge of the assisted living and senior care industries.

As Director of Business Development, Reese is responsible for financing, working with vendors and other service providers and streamlining general facility operations. He received his CEAL (Certified Executive for Assisted Living) certification though the Ohio Health Care Association, which provides him with the tools needed to be an assisted living administrator.

In 2014, Reese graduated from the College of Wooster where he majored in business economics with a minor in math, and was an All-American infielder for the Wooster Fighting Scots baseball team. In 2015, he earned a master’s degree in finance from Case Western Reserve University. He is also a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School.

Amanda Rivera, Director of Human Resources

In May 2018, Amanda Rivera joined EDM at the director of community relations. Shortly after, the company acquired its fifth assisted living community where she became the executive director and received her CEAL (Certified Executive for Assisted Living) certification though the Ohio Health Care Association. Prior to joining EDM, Rivera gained several years of experience in the senior living industry while holding positions in activities, sales and marketing.

Rivera transitioned to EDM’s corporate HR role in December 2020. She manages recruitment and retention, benefits administration, labor management duties and all relevant employee policies and procedures.

In 2014, Rivera graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus in marketing management. She went on to earn her Master of Arts degree in gerontology from YSU in 2018. Rivera also holds a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.
