AlterCare – 1986 to 1988

AlterCare of Millersburg: Administrator of 100-bed facility. Accomplishments while there included reducing agency staffing and increased census from 70 to 100.

AlterCare of Ravenna: Administrator of 98-bed facility. Responsible for the acquisition of the privately owned home and setup all AlterCare policies and procedures

Briarfield Health Care Centers – 1999 to present

Briarfield at Ashley Circle: Started management of 108-bed facility, which was in financial and operational distress.  Long history of poor performance and poor care. Increased census from 75 to 105 in one year and obtained a deficiency free survey.

Briarfield Manor:  Administrator of 116-bed skilled and 36-bed assisted living facility. Started management of 98-bed skilled facility, which was on the verge of bankruptcy.  Purchased in May 2000 and completed successful conversion of this distraught facility to one of the most demanded facilities in the county, as evidenced by consistently strong census and financials.

Providence Health Care/Multi-Care/Genesis – 1988 to 1999

Edgewater Quality Care: Administrator of 73-bed facility. Responsible for certifying beds into Medicare so reimbursement could be received through this program. Closed this facility and transferred residents and staff to The Greenbriar Quality Care of Boardman.

The Greenbriar Quality Care of Boardman: Administrator and Executive Director of 120 bed dually certified facility.  Responsible for design and oversaw fill of the new facility.  Fill was accomplished in 8 months.  Accomplished outstanding quality mix, brought rehab staff in and terminated all outside services, 6 days a week therapy established, obtained Joint Commission Accreditation with Commendation in 1996.  First facility in tri-county area to accomplish this.

The Commons at the Greenbriar:  Executive Director of 59 bed assisted living facility.  Assisted with design and operational issues.  Responsible for opening and obtaining license, as well as overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations.

1995 – Award of Excellence, presented to only one administrator per year

1996 – Joint Commission Cost Effective Care Award, presented to only 2 of 165 administrators – recognizes quality care in a top profit-making facility.
